Overview
Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Journeyman and take charge of installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across a variety of commercial, residential and industrial settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in construction, service technician experience, and HVAC design to ensure optimal system performance. Your mechanical knowledge and field service skills will be essential as you troubleshoot complex systems involving plumbing, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and more.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to execute precise installations and repairs.
Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify issues early and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
Diagnose system malfunctions through mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with team members on construction projects requiring HVAC installation or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an HVAC Journeyman with a strong background in construction, service technician roles, or mechanical trades.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and appliance repair.
Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively during installation or troubleshooting.
Skilled in plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks.
Mechanical aptitude with experience operating tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties.
Familiarity with field service procedures for appliance repair, equipment repair, and system maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.
Strong understanding of safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, welding techniques, and general property upkeep. Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
