Grain Architectural Millwork is growing and seeking a lead cabinet maker and custom woodworker to support our growing business. This is a full-time position - working four 10-hour days – four days a week. We offer a competitive compensation package. This position includes the fabrication and assembly of cabinet and millwork projects and occasionally, being available for on-site installations. The ideal candidate is someone who considers themselves a professional craftsman with a minimum of 5 + years’ experience and enjoys working on a diversity of projects. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill level.

GRAIN is a full-service custom architectural millwork / cabinet making company located in East Boston. We are considered a premier millwork shop and handle a wide range of high-end jobs mainly in the commercial sector. Our commitment is to fabricate high-quality millwork and exceed our customer’s expectations.

Job Requirements:

Skilled in performing high quality work.
Reading and understanding architectural plans, shop drawings, etc.
Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work is critical.
A professional craftsman with solid communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Some installer experience is highly desirable.
High school diploma. Technical school and / or college is highly desired.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret drawings, specifications and project documents ensuring that cabinets and custom millwork is fabricated to specifications.
Fabrication of custom millwork including cabinets, laminate casework, counter tops, paneling, wall systems, decorative millwork and the like.
Completion of projects within specified time periods.
Following written instructions in production packets, work orders and drawings, etc.
Fabrication of high-quality work with a focus on attention to details.
Being part of a team and doing whatever it takes to meet timelines, quality standards and customer expectations.
