In this role, you will operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets with precision and efficiency. Duties

Operate, set up, and monitor CNC-controlled press brake machines to produce precise bends on sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication
Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software to customize bending operations for different projects
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
Maintain proper tooling, tooling adjustments, and machine calibration to optimize performance and quality
Perform routine maintenance on CNC press brake equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly, and quality inspection tasks to meet production deadlines

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating press brake machines, CNC milling machines, lathes, laser cutters, plasma cutters, and other machining tools
Proficiency in CNC programming for press brakes, laser cutting, plasma cutting, or machining centers
Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T standards is a plus
Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
Knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and sheet metal forming
Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes for moving heavy sheets or fabricated parts safely
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, tolerances, and material quantities
Understanding of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
