Hand Precision Machining, Inc., a company specializing in precision prototype machining and short run productions since 1993. We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Welder/Fabricator/Machinist Assistant to join in our team in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Summary

This role is critical in producing high-quality components through fabrication and welding processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering precision parts that meet rigorous industry standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld components according to specifications and blueprints.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards during all fabrication processes.
Fabricate parts using press break, roller, saws, and sheers
Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and quality.
Participate in quality control inspections to verify the integrity of finished products.

Requirements

Proven experience as a fabricator/welder with a strong portfolio of completed projects
In-depth knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG and SMAW welding
Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to fabrication work
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical drawings accurately.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Desired

Preference to welder with machine shop experience
Has completed or able to complete process to become certified in specific types of welding
