Construction Project Manager

Nehmer is a fast-paced, international Design and Project Management firm specializing in the Hospitality industry. Headquartered in Rockville, MD, the firm handles new builds, renovations, repositioning, and historic restorations across the country for all the major hotel brands in the various tiers.

We are seeking an experienced, educated, and professional Project Manager to manage projects in various US cities.

Responsibilities include:

On-site responsibility (12 months) will be assisting in project management duties of a major hotel construction project.
Future Project Management of major hotel renovation (capex)projects and renovations around the country.
Prepare Project Schedules and Budgets, with an emphasis on the ability to evaluate, budget and negotiate Brand PIP (Property Improvement Plan) documents.
Management of the due diligence, pre-construction, construction, and closeout phases of hotel renovation projects.
Assist with negotiation of bids, change orders, monthly payment requests, etc.
50% travel required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

4-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management (or related field)
Minimum of 6 years of related work experience with hospitality projects, including capital cost estimating experience.
Familiarity with hospitality projects and construction, including renovations, is a must.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Solid project management skills; ability to multi-task.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Must pass construction site drug test
Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Project)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
