Project Manager – Multi-Family Construction

Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing Partners, LLC (MEP Partners) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage plumbing and/or HVAC work for multi-family construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of the plumbing or HVAC industry combined with construction project management experience. This position will be responsible for coordinating projects from preconstruction through completion and serving as a primary point of contact between MEP Partners, builders, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple multi-family construction projects from startup through completion.
Prepare, submit, and track project submittals and product approvals.
Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction schedules.
Purchase and coordinate materials and equipment required for projects.
Monitor material lead times and ensure materials are available when needed to maintain construction schedules.
Serve as the primary liaison between MEP Partners and builders/general contractors.
Attend project meetings and communicate project status, scheduling requirements, and outstanding issues.
Prepare, price, submit, and track change orders.
Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
Monitor project schedules and work with field teams to meet required deadlines.
Identify potential project issues and work proactively to resolve them.
Review project costs and help ensure projects remain within budget.
Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous construction project management experience required.
Plumbing and/or HVAC experience required.
Multi-family construction experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Experience with construction submittals, purchasing, change orders, and project scheduling.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn construction management software.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
