Overview
A small, custom job shop in the heart of the steel district in Minneapolis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented certified Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic production team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to manufacturing and fabrication projects by utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills. Your expertise will help ensure the quality and safety of our custom metal assemblies and components.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW welding on sheet metal, pipe, and structural steel following ASME codes & standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, auto saw, manual shear, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to fabricate metal parts.
Measure materials with tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure exact specifications.
Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on the manufacturing floors.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.

Skills

Proven manufacturing experience with an understanding of safety procedures and site logistics.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
AWS D1.1 Certification
Skilled in using tape measure, calipers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes including shearing, saw cutting, sheet metal work, and assembly tasks.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication accuracy.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
