Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and property maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial properties. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate field service operations. Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure efficient operation
Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems as needed
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and testing
Repair and service ammonia refrigeration systems with proper safety procedures
Operate welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement
Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment following safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used
Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all service activities

Qualifications

Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar mechanical role with construction or property maintenance background preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and boiler operation
Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately
Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, appliance repair, welding, and general maintenance
Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters
Experience working with air conditioning systems and field service operations is highly desirable
Valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites
Prior experience with HVAC/R certifications or licenses is a plus but not mandatory
