Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Duties

Perform routine maintenance and comprehensive repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical wiring, and hydraulic components
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to troubleshoot issues accurately
Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to ensure components meet specifications
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair parts
Diagnose electrical problems using electrical experience and schematics; perform wiring repairs or replacements as needed
Assist with rigging tasks including lifting heavy components safely and installing equipment securely
Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports; ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations

Experience

Proven service technician experience in marine or vehicle maintenance environments
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly, fabrication, welding, sheet metal work, and heavy lifting
Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and the use of precision measuring instruments
Experience working with electrical systems, soldering techniques, and troubleshooting using ohmmeters or similar tools
Background in military maintenance or related fields is a plus due to the disciplined approach required
Customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information to clients and team members
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality
