CNC Machinist – Setup, Program & Run (Haas Mills & Lathes)

Full-Time | Day Shift

David Engineering is a 53+ year ISO 9001-certified precision sheet metal and machining shop in Corona. We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can walk onto the floor, set up a job, write the program, pick the right tooling, and make good parts — without hand-holding.

What you'll do

Set up and run Haas vertical mills and Haas turning centers (lathes)
Program parts from SolidWorks models
Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding for the job
Perform first-article inspection and hold tight tolerances
Edit programs at the control to dial in parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specs
Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to continuous improvement

What we're looking for

3+ years hands-on CNC machining experience (mills and lathes)
Proficient with Haas controls — setup, offsets, program editing
Able to program from SolidWorks (CAM experience a strong plus — SolidCAM)
Solid understanding of tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and fixturing
Comfortable working from prints with GD&T
Skilled with calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges
Self-directed, reliable, and takes pride in the work

Must have

Experience machining steel, stainless, and aluminum
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication shop environments
Live tooling / multi-axis lathe experience
