Pipefitter Superintendent Job Description:

We’re partnering with a leading, employee-owned MEP contractor to identify a Pipefitter Superintendent to support large-scale construction projects across their growing operations. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing field execution, driving schedules, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Pipefitter Superintendent Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple construction projects and trade groups
Serve as a field leader and technical resource to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and with a high standard of quality
Manage, mentor, and develop field personnel while conducting performance management conversations and supporting team growth
Establish and adjust work sequences to maintain construction schedules and maximize field productivity
Monitor earned value, labor productivity, and forecasted percent completions throughout project execution
Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance with project specifications and quality standards
Perform safety observations and proactively identify and eliminate jobsite hazards
Utilize LEAN construction principles including pull planning, six-week look ahead schedules, value mapping, and constraint logs
Support project budgeting efforts including labor forecasting, manpower planning, material takeoffs, and change order pricing
Identify and help resolve jobsite challenges related to productivity, manpower, scheduling, coordination, and work interfaces
Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments to ensure projects remain on schedule
Conduct pre-job planning meetings and ensure project teams understand contract requirements, schedules, and project expectations
Maintain strong communication with project management, leadership, subcontractors, and field teams throughout project execution

Pipefitter Superintendent Qualifications:

5–7+ years of piping construction and field operations
Must possess all relevant licenses and certifications required for the position
Strong understanding of construction management processes, means, methods, and scheduling
Advanced knowledge of construction materials, installation practices, safety standards, and quality control
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BIM/coordination drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documents
Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining schedule and budget goals
Someone who can see the “big picture,” lead teams effectively, and drive projects successfully from start to finish

Competitive base salary (depending on experience)
