Maintenance Services

Makes routine and emergency repairs on a variety of mechanical/electrical equipment and walls..

Installs, maintain and repairs plumbing systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and general carpentry work.

Inspects connections and other parts of systems for leaks, repairs, damage and replaces as needed.

Works on 120/208 and 277VAC equipment and circuits.

Work on boilers, chillers, vacuum, compressed gases, sewerage, drainage, outlets and lighting.

Constructs and repairs building parts and fixtures, furniture and special equipment; inspects worksite to determine work to be done, calculates quantities of materials needed and requisitions hardware and supplies; performs such other tasks as necessary to complete the work, using hand and power tools.

Evaluate work orders and project requirements and coordinate with appropriate personnel to plan/execute the completion of the task.

Works with minimal supervision with projects such as; erecting walls, applying plasterboards, repairing or installing building fixtures such as; doors, locks, windows, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment. Must be able to produce a finished product.

Operates a variety of tools and equipment indigenous to facilities construction and maintenance such as pipe cutters, reamers, sawzall, voltmeter, etc. Assists as assigned with construction projects where his/her expertise is needed

Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.

Paint interior and exterior walls/surfaces as needed or directed.

Repair walls as needed or directed.

Install or repair wall coverings as needed or directed.

Assist with routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, as directed, in accordance with established procedures.

Assist with unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.

Move office equipment and furniture as necessary.

Maintain tools and equipment in an appropriate manner.

Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience

Must possess, as a minimum, high school education and at least 1 year of experience performing duties substantially similar to those included in the “Maintenance Services” caption above, or other combination of education and experience.

Specific Requirements

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must possess the ability to make an independent decision, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Must be minimum of 18 years of age.

Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.

Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle resident based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.

Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.

Must have a valid S.C. Driver's License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.41 - $39.39 per hour
