Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical expertise, including industrial and commercial electrical experience, and be proficient in reading schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from low voltage systems to high voltage installations, in a dynamic environment that values professionalism and technical proficiency.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage, and high voltage systems to ensure proper operation.
Comply with NEC standards and safety protocols during all phases of work.
Assist with renovation projects, construction site tasks, and framing carpentry as needed.
Utilize schematics and blueprints to guide installation processes for electrical wiring, panels, and equipment.
Perform maintenance on existing electrical systems, including troubleshooting faults in industrial or commercial environments.
Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations on-site.

Skills

Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and NEC standards.
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage, and high voltage systems.
Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and interpret schematics for complex wiring tasks.
Skilled in using testing devices such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
Construction site experience with renovation or new build projects preferred.
Knowledge of frame carpentry or maintenance person skills is a plus for versatile project support.
Strong understanding of safety practices related to construction and electrical work.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship and safety standards in all aspects of electrical installation and maintenance.
