Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. We have been in business for over 25 years, and have a multiyear backlog of pending projects. There is no shortage of work or risk of lack of hours every week. We specialize in restoring BMW's and Porsche's from the 1970's up to the early 2000's. Our team works Monday through Friday, no weekends. We have paid time off, generous holidays, and a 401k retirement program with a generous company match.

In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert auto body repair. Strong metal working skills are critical, as the individual in this role will be responsible for welding repairs and chassis repairs including but not limited to panel replacement, rocker replacement, floor pan replacement, etc. ensuring proper panel alignment, gaps, and fitment. An understanding of appropriate use of weld through primers/epoxy sealers, and metal prep and protection after welding are critical. Fabrication from scratch is limited, as the vehicles we restore have a large available inventory of repair panels available.

Duties

Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening using hand tools and power tools.
Use MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication skills to repair or replace damaged vehicle parts.
Maintain detailed documentation of repairs - all of our technicians use company supplied digital cameras to document work along the way for clients

Requirements

Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques.
TIG welding experience is a benefit but not required
Spot Welding (Pro-Spot) machine experience beneficial but not required
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment.
A positive attitude and strong, team-oriented, communication skills
Full body mobility and the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to take instruction, actively listen, and work independently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
