Responsibilities

Install fire sprinkler piping, valves, heads, and related components according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards
Conduct system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of sprinkler systems
Maintain accurate documentation of installation progress, inspections, and repairs for each project
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to coordinate installation schedules and site safety protocols
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure ongoing compliance and functionality
Follow all safety procedures and regulations diligently to maintain a safe work environment at all times
Assist in diagnosing system issues and implementing effective solutions promptly

Skills

Proven experience installing or maintaining fire sprinkler systems or similar piping systems
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, fire protection standards, and safety regulations
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting system issues
Physical dexterity and stamina to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
Certifications such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory
