AS9100D Certified QMS machine shop dealing with a wide range of aerospace and space related parts, assemblies and fabrications is looking for a hands on quality inspector for swing shift.

M - Th 2pm - 12:30 am

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years working as a part inspector on aerospace parts
Experience in an AS9100 system
Experience with AS9102B compliant first article inspection forms
A high level understanding of GD&T
Use of FARO Arm, CMM, or similar
Microsoft Office proficiency
Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with team members daily
Willingness to learn new things
A hands on approach
Inspection Expert experience a plus

Day to Day Duties

Complete bubble drawing first article inspection forms compliant with AS9102B
Surface plate work/inspection
Inspect supplied product according to the applicable drawing and or work order specifications to verify that it conforms to all design requirements
Perform repetitive inspection following standardized methods
Perform receiving inspections, first article inspections, and production inspections
In-Process Inspection: Visual and/or dimensional inspection of precision machined and sheet metal parts
Interact proactively with other departments to improve products and reduce cost
Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes as required
Support Quality Management System policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance to company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Utilize CMM and/or FARO arm for in-process and finished part inpsections
Review assembly drawings and suggest modifications for outside processing, plating, etc
