Position Summary

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals on a wide variety of residential electrical projects. This role offers hands-on experience to sharpen your skills in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and residential installations, helping you safely advance your career in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities

Residential Electrical Installations: Assist with whole-house rewiring, residential service transitions, and comprehensive panel changes/upgrades.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Efficiently diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical malfunctions, damaged equipment, and faulty circuitry.
Lighting Upgrades: Install and upgrade modern interior/exterior lighting, fixtures, and smart home electrical components.
Field Service Work: Execute a variety of residential projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with electrical codes.
Customer Service: Maintain a clean work environment and communicate professionally with homeowners to deliver an exceptional service experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Certification: Must possess a valid Washington State Electrical Apprentice Card (Trainee Certificate).
Experience: 1+ years of residential electrical experience (or equivalent documented hours worked) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic electrical hand tools, power tools, safety protocols, and residential wiring methods.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a high level of personal integrity.
Logistics: Reliable transportation to our Puyallup base and a valid driver's license to service Pierce, South King, and North Thurston counties.

Compensation, Schedule, & Benefits

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (Competitive, based on experience, skill level, and customer service capabilities).
Work Schedule: Enjoy a 4-day work week! Work four 10-hour days (Monday through Thursday), giving you a consistent 3-day weekend.
Overtime: Must be flexible and willing to work overtime during peak summer months as needed.
Paid Holidays: 6 paid holidays per year.
Paid Time Off (PTO): 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of service.
