Job Title: Hotel Engineer Maintenance Tech

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Essential Job Functions for Maintenance Tech:

**Use of Work Order system to record follow up and completion of assigned orders.
Be able to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units and be able to troubleshoot and fix these units.
Have a strong working understanding and ability to work with different electrical circuits of different voltages.
Have a strong working understanding of domestic and commercial plumbing
Responsible for performing scheduled Preventative Maintenance including HVAC, appliances, refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical and electrical
Responsible for quality repairs to guest rooms and public areas.
Maintain all Facilities and Operating Systems in a safe and efficient working order. Will require lifting of 20lbs or more.
Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner.
Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed.
Maintain records of all work activities and support materials.
Provide written reports to other departments as needed.
Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.
Maintain tools and work area in safe, secure and efficient manner.
Work with other departments when directed.
Keep track of supplies and fill out requisition for needed supplies.
Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and guest rooms.

Qualifications for Maintenance Tech: * High School Diploma or Equivalent. - required

Trade School Diploma/Certificate - preferred
Must be authorized to work in the United States – required
Must have flexible schedule to include working nights and weekends - required
Previous maintenance experience. - required
Basic skills required with computers - preferred
CPO Certified and experience with pool/tub operations – preferred
EPA Certification - preferred
Must pass a drug screening, background check and DMV check – required

Working Conditions: Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking * Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance

Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
May experience high noise levels due to operation of equipment.
