Job Summary

We are hiring a Plumber to support our growing residential customer base in Rockford. A plumbing license is not required, and experienced plumber’s assistants are encouraged to apply. This is a strong fit for someone with hands-on plumbing experience, a solid work ethic, and the desire to keep growing in the trade.

You’ll assist with day-to-day residential plumbing service, repairs, installs, and related support work. You may also help our HVAC team with plumbing-connected components when needed. If you’re dependable, willing to learn, professional in customers’ homes, and committed to doing quality work the right way, this could be a strong fit.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do

Perform or assist with residential plumbing service, troubleshooting, and repairs
Support residential plumbing installations and replacements
Help diagnose issues and explain basic findings or options to homeowners
Follow applicable codes, quality standards, and safety expectations
Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate job status with the team
Assist with HVAC-related plumbing work when needed, such as water heaters, lines, condensate-related items, or hydronic connections depending on system scope
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and company vehicle
Support licensed or senior technicians on larger jobs as assigned

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required
Plumbing license not required
Residential plumbing experience preferred
Basic understanding of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and troubleshooting
Strong communication and professionalism in customers’ homes
Dependable, teachable, and team-oriented
Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and take pride in clean work
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the shop

Nice to Have

Experience working alongside HVAC teams
Familiarity with residential water heaters and related connections
Prior field service, construction, maintenance, or trades experience
Interest in growing within the plumbing trade
