We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from structural frameworks to ductwork and sheet metal assemblies. Responsibilities

Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on a variety of materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and structural components, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to prepare materials for welding.
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members on assembly, rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and mechanical tasks as needed.
Operate forklifts and other machinery safely for material handling and positioning during fabrication processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in MIG welding.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with ASME codes & standards is a plus.
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of TIG welding techniques as well as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is desirable.
Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and assembly processes.
Valid certification or demonstrated experience in construction site welding practices involving specific welding standards is preferred.
