SUMMARY: The Entry-Level Plumbing Apprentice supports the installation and assembly of plumbing systems in a construction and job-site environment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start or continue a career in plumbing and offers hands-on training under experienced plumbers and supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plumbing experience is preferred but is not required
Ability to use basic hand tools to cut, assemble, and connect plumbing materials
Willingness to learn and advance in the plumbing industry
Ability to take direction, ask questions, and learn the plumbing trade
Attention to detail and quality workmanship is a must
Willingness to participate in training programs to pursue a Journeyman license
Learn to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
Look over the website TSBPE.texas.gov as it will be part of your future

TEAMWORK:

Demonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the company
Works collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members
Continually looks for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and personal performance

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Performs all duties with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Supports Company efforts to meet production schedules and customer requirements
Communicates professionally with supervisors and team members to resolve issues

SAFETY:

Follows all Company safety programs and policies
Uses required PPE at all times when appropriate
Reports unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries to the Supervisor or Safety Manager immediately
Completes all assigned safety training within required timeframes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED
Willingness to learn plumbing concepts and processes
Basic math and measuring skills
Ability to use hand tools safely
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
