Position Summary

Red Star Inspections is a fast-growing fire protection firm specializing in fire alarm panels, extinguishers, emergency lights, and alarm monitoring services. We’re seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

· Install and upgrade fire alarm systems in residential and commercial environments.

· Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of alarm systems.

· Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes.

· Accurately complete and submit inspection documentation and reports.

· Respond to emergency service calls with urgency and professionalism.

Qualifications

· Demonstrated experience 2-3 years in the Fire and Life Safety industry is required.

· NICET Level I in fire alarm systems and/or test and inspect. With the ability to advance to NICET Level II.

· State of Illinois Extinguisher license.

· City of Chicago Fire Extinguisher License preferred but not mandatory.

· Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
