Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures, ductwork, piping, and custom fabrications that meet strict industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring designs to life in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding Massachusetts processes to join metals securely according to specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural elements.
Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities.
Apply mechanical knowledge for pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly of complex components following ASME codes & standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times during construction or fabrication projects.

Skills

Proven construction site experience with the ability to adapt fabrication techniques to various environments.
Expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes, and Massachusetts specific welding standards.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for precise fabrication.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation for lifting heavy materials safely.
Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
Familiarity with ductwork installation, pipe threading, machining operations, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures.
Ability to interpret ASME codes & standards for quality assurance in manufacturing or construction projects.
Experience working with schematics for mechanical systems or structural assemblies.
