Four Points by Sheraton Peoria is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation and upkeep of our hotel property. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our guest rooms, public spaces, building systems, and hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, responds quickly to maintenance issues, and understands the importance of maintaining a high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities
Complete preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments
Repair doors, locks, lighting fixtures, appliances, furniture, drywall, flooring, and other hotel assets
Monitor boilers, HVAC systems, water systems, and other building equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records
Assist with renovations, upgrades, and property improvement projects
Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when required
Participate in emergency response situations and after-hours maintenance needs when necessary
Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of exterior grounds and common areas

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, commercial property maintenance, or building engineering preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs independently
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience
HVAC certification or trade certification
Experience working with commercial building systems
Understanding of preventive maintenance programs
Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when needed
