Welder / Fabricator

Qualified Applicants must be able to:

Journeyman knowledge and skills in MIG and TIG welding including gases and filler metals
Journeyman knowledge of all materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum including grades and properties
Excellent workmanship
Be able to position, align, and fit together part weldments according to prints & specifications.
Perform weld clean-up
Work well with others as a team
Follow closely any instructions, verbal or written, given by the supervisor
Perform work in a timely manner
Prompt and reliable attendance
Has layout experience
Fabricate frames, sheet metal, and various projects while keeping things square, plumb, and flush
Fabricate to precise tolerance
Must be able to read dial calipers and convert to fractions
Must know how to brace frames before welding in order to keep them square
Is able to receive formed and saw cut parts and complete fabrication to print and tolerance
Operate all hand/automated tools including tape measures, steel square, wrenches, ratchets, grinders, chop saws, clamps, etc
Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances and grind/ prepare parts for welding
Lift, move transport steel parts, hand carts
Observe and follows all company safety rules and regulations
Clean and maintain an orderly work area
Must be able to think quickly and outside the box
Good communication and math skills
Work well with others, ensure quality of work, and meet scheduling demands
Performs other miscellaneous tasks as directed by management
Able to lift 100 pounds, able to work for periods of time while kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing steps, as well as the ability to work from a ladder
Is looking for long term, steady employment
