Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on diverse civil engineering projects, supporting project planning, cost estimation, and execution. The ideal candidate will be energized by working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their construction management expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. You will play a vital role in coordinating project activities, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties

Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Excel data analysis tools.
Support project scheduling efforts by utilizing Primavera P6 and civil engineering project management software to develop and maintain accurate timelines.
Collaborate with project teams to coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
Review contracts, change orders, and scope documents to support cost management and contractual compliance.
Use construction estimating techniques combined with analysis skills to evaluate bid proposals and prepare competitive estimates.
Contribute to project management tasks including tracking progress, managing documentation via construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam, and updating project schedules.
Assist in site visits to gather data, monitor construction site progress, and ensure safety standards are maintained.
Support project managers with time management strategies to meet deadlines efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Proven project management experience in construction or civil engineering environments.
Hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction scheduling and site operations.
Familiarity with construction estimating processes using tools such as HeavyBid or similar software.
Experience working with contracts, cost control, and project coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and civil engineering project management tools.
Strong analysis skills for Excel data analysis related to costs, schedules, and resource allocation.
Knowledge of construction scheduling principles combined with practical experience on heavy civil or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $56,911.77 - $68,538.91 per year
