Low Voltage Engineer / Project Manager - (Division 27 & 28)

We're looking for a experienced low voltage professional for the engineering, and project management of our Division 27 & 28. This is a technical role for someone who knows structured cabling, fiber, security, and data systems inside and out, and can take a project from pre-construction through closeout.

What You'll Do

Engineer and design low voltage systems across Division 27 (Communications) and Division 28 (Electronic Safety & Security)
Build accurate, competitive estimates from plans, specs, and site walks, takeoffs, material, labor, and bid packages
Manage projects end to end: scheduling, submittals, RFIs, change orders, coordination with GCs and subs, and closeout
Spec and design structured cabling systems (copper and fiber backbone/horizontal), telecom rooms, and pathways
Design and oversee CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems
Coordinate fiber infrastructure, data/server room buildouts, and network rough-in with the broader team
Review drawings for code compliance, constructability, and BICSI best practices

What You Bring

5+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage / structured cabling / electronic security
Deep, practical expertise across Division 27 and 28: structured cabling, fiber optics, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and data/server infrastructure
Can read a set of plans and produce a bid you'll stand behind
Project management experience running jobs and crews, not just designing on paper
Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (NEC, BICSI/TIA, manufacturer requirements)
Ability to read and produce construction drawings (AutoCAD/Bluebeam or similar)
Excellent communication and the judgment to make smart calls under deadline

Location: On-site, McAllen / Rio Grande Valley, TX
Compensation: $50,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience
