Guardian Home Care Management is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Home Care Technician to provide concierge-level home maintenance services while supporting our renovation and property management operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining homes to the highest standards.

Our clients trust Guardian to protect one of their largest investments. The Home Care Technician plays an important role in delivering that promise by performing routine home maintenance, assisting with seasonal services, and serving as Guardian’s eyes and ears on renovation projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

Primary Responsibilities

Home Maintenance Services

Perform Guardian’s DETAILS service and other scheduled maintenance visits.
Replace light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, and HVAC filters.
Clean faucet aerators and showerheads.
Vacuum refrigerator and freezer condenser coils.
Replace or repair window screens.
Adjust doors, cabinets, and hardware.
Lubricate hinges, locks, and garage door components.
Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Replace weatherstripping and minor caulking as needed.
Complete seasonal maintenance tasks.
Assemble or install minor household items.
Perform miscellaneous handyman services within skill level.

Property Visits & Quality Control

Travel to renovation and maintenance job sites.
Monitor contractor progress and workmanship.
Verify work is being completed according to Guardian standards.
Document job progress with photographs and notes.
Identify concerns before they become costly problems.
Communicate findings to Guardian management.
Assist in coordinating subcontractors when requested.

Client Service

Represent Guardian Home Care Management professionally at every client interaction.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners.
Maintain clean, organized work areas.
Build trust through punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Experience in residential maintenance, construction, remodeling, or handyman services.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to troubleshoot basic household issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders.
Comfortable using smartphones for photos, notes, scheduling, and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in home inspections, remodeling, or property management.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Experience working independently and managing daily schedules.

Pay: $54,000.00 per year
