Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ironworker -Welder/Fabricator t. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Must have a clean valid Drivers License.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Fabricate metal parts by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components using plasma cutters, press brake machines, and hand tools.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications.
Maintain quality control by inspecting welds and fabricated parts for defects, ensuring compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
Collaborate with team members on mechanical fabrication tasks, including pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly processes for diverse projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW welding techniques with demonstrated ability to meet AWS standards. Must be certified welder
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; experience interpreting mechanical blueprints is essential.
Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills, and mechanical knowledge necessary for precise fabrication work.
Hands-on experience operating power tools such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, grinders, drills, and saws.
Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation safety practices on construction sites or within manufacturing settings.
Ability to work safely while handling sheet metal fabrication tasks involving gas metal arc welding (GMAW), plasma cutting, or pipe threading.
Valid certification in welding techniques preferred; familiarity with ASME codes & standards is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent hand tool skills and mechanical aptitude; experience with schematics is beneficial.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
