Northwest Precast is looking for a Lead Carpenter to take ownership of complex, custom formwork and help drive our shop forward.

This role is for someone who doesn’t just build—but leads, plans, and solves. Our work is highly custom, often one-off, and requires a sharp eye for detail, strong decision-making, and the ability to guide others through challenging builds.

What You’ll Do

Build and lead custom precast forms
Review shop drawings and specs; interpret design intent and set direction for the team
Plan builds, sequence work, and assign tasks to maximize efficiency, accuracy and quality
Perform and oversee accurate material take-offs.
Troubleshoot complex geometry and develop practical, buildable solutions
Work hands-on while mentoring and supporting a small team of carpenters
Collaborate with engineering and production to improve constructability and workflow
Integrate CNC and digital fabrication where it adds value
Track and log material usage

Experience Requirements:

· 5+ years in custom carpentry and wood fabrication (complex, non-production work)

· Proven leadership in a shop environment—able to lead crews and projects

· Strong problem-solving skills; anticipates issues and adapts quickly

· High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability

· An eye for perfection

· Skilled with hand/power tools, layout tools, and reading plans

· CNC/digital layout experience

· Solid math and layout skills

· Experience with fillers and coatings for seamless forms

· Works independently while keeping the team aligned and productive

· Clear communicator with a no-nonsense, get-it-done attitude
