Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd year Residential Apprentice Electrician to join our team. You will be working alongside seasoned and other apprentice electricians on new construction residential projects, helping to develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, wiring, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role provides an excellent foundation for those aspiring to become licensed electricians, with opportunities to gain practical experience in residential electrical systems while adhering to industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70 compliance.

Responsibilities

Wiring of Residential New Construction homes as part of a team. Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing residential electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, switches, and low-voltage wiring.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation and troubleshooting.
Support the installation of electrical systems according to NEC standards and NFPA 70 regulations.
Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure system integrity.
Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites or residential properties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or coursework related to electrical work is preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation is advantageous.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, conduit bending techniques, and electrical wiring practices.
Strong interest in developing skills related to industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems.
Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining high safety standards.
Willingness to learn construction site procedures and adhere to all safety protocols.
Prior construction or related experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
