About Summit Granite Stone Design

Summit Granite Stone Design is seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator to join our growing team. We fabricate and install premium granite, quartz, quartzite, and natural stone countertops for residential and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

Fabricate granite, quartz and natural stone countertops
Read shop drawings and production tickets
Operate fabrication equipment safely
Perform edge work, polishing and finishing
Inspect completed work for quality
Assist in training and supporting production staff
Final polishing of granite, quartz, quartzite, marble and other natural stone countertops as needed
Hand polishing sink cutouts, inside corners, edges and finished surfaces as needed
Repairing minor chips and imperfections as needed
Matching factory finishes and edge profiles
Inspecting completed pieces before delivery
Assisting with final quality control
Maintaining polishing equipment and work area

Qualifications

5+ years countertop fabrication experience
Experience with granite, quartz and quartzite
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read fabrication drawings
Reliable, dependable and team-oriented
Knowledge of polishing pads, abrasives and finishing techniques
Ability to produce high-quality finished edges
Ability to identify imperfections before installation
Dependable attendance
Team-oriented attitude
Ability to lift 75+ pounds with assistance when required
Experience with CNC and Bridge Saw use and care
