Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dependable NCT Technician (Turret Punch Press Operator) to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will learn to operate and maintain AMADA Numerical Control Turret Punch (NCT) machines used in sheet metal fabrication. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and develop new skills. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required, as we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Operate AMADA Numerical Control Turret Punch (NCT) machines, including machine setup, tooling installation, material loading and unloading, and part production.
Learn to select, organize, and properly store punch and die tooling to ensure efficient machine operation.
Assist with creating and optimizing tooling layouts, punch sequences, and machine programs using programming software.
Make basic program adjustments after first article inspections to improve product quality and forming accuracy.
Fabricate simple tooling, produce prototype or sample parts, and perform basic forming operations as needed.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and tooling, and complete daily maintenance and inspection records.
Inspect finished parts to verify they meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company policies and OSHA safety requirements.
Support other production and manufacturing activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, including occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate.

Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or sheet metal fabrication environment.
Experience operating manufacturing equipment or CNC machinery, especially AMADA NCT (Turret Punch Press) machines.
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings or manufacturing blueprints.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine or tooling issues.
Familiarity with nesting or programming software such as Lantek or VPSS 4ie.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication, tooling selection, prototype fabrication, or metal forming processes.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
