We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transit Construction Project Manager to lead complex transportation infrastructure projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of transit construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Title: Project Manager

Location: NYCT, LIRR, MNR, B&T. MTA

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing assigned SBMP projects to ensure technical, schedule, and quality compliance with agency requirements. The PM supports the PCEO and works closely with the General Superintendent, Assistant Project Director, and Scope B partners to oversee contractor performance, resolve field issues, and maintain documentation compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the PCEO in reviewing and recommending approval of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor payment requests.
Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track contractor deliverables.
Maintain project files including logs for submittals, RFIs, field observations, and progress reports.
Coordinate with the General Superintendent for constructability reviews and field inspections.
Ensure contractor compliance with schedule milestones and work scope as per contract documents.
Monitor contractor’s adherence to quality and safety protocols.
Track and update construction progress weekly, resolving conflicts or delays in coordination with PCEO and field staff.
Lead preconstruction, progress, and closeout meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
Coordinate submittal workflows using PM logs and ensure timely responses and follow-ups.
Support Scope B consultants in documenting contractor mentoring activities and providing technical input.
Review safety incident logs and support resolution of jobsite concerns with Safety Manager.
Assist with MPT plan coordination, site logistics, and coordination with agency personnel.

Qualifications:

Shall have significant experience in effectively managing small contractors on multiple projects while adhering to budget and schedule.
Shall have construction experience with the work of public agency.
Shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a satisfactory equivalent (e.g., CMCM or PMP certifications), and a minimum of five (5) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in Construction Management.
Shall have a demonstrated ability in the area of work under this Agreement, such as; Management, Supervision, Analysis of technical/legal questions, and cost analysis.
Shall have the ability to manage multiple projects and obtain project technical, cost and schedule objectives.
Shall be familiar with Scheduling, Cost Estimating and in use of software such as MS Project, MS Office, etc.
Shall have training and experience in safety and quality assurance.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
