In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities

Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems following blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents to accurately assemble piping and sprinkler components.
Perform pipe threading, pipe welding (including TIG, MIG, FCAW, and welding), soldering, and fabrication tasks using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to determine pipe routes, fittings, and system layouts; utilize calipers and tube bending tools for precise fabrication.
Maintain detailed records of system inspections, repairs, modifications, and compliance documentation in accordance with safety regulations.
Follow all safety procedures including power tool safety practices, NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards, and construction site safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, pipe welding, and soldering techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to pipefitting, pipe installation, pipeline systems, and fire sprinkler fitting.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately.
Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, pipe threading machines, tube benders, power tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
Knowledge of NFPA standards for fire protection systems as well as ASME codes & standards governing piping fabrication.
Experience with construction site work including reading construction plans and working within construction environments.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe dimensions and system layouts.
Familiarity with maintenance procedures for sprinkler systems to ensure ongoing operational readiness.
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction work environments; committed to adhering to all safety protocols at all times.
