Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
Install new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems following schematics and design specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal system operation and prevent future failures.
Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and refrigeration units, including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable.
Utilize hand tools, equipment, and mechanical skills to repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during each service call.
Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Adhere to safety standards including EPA regulations for refrigerants and proper handling of mechanical systems.
Assist with HVAC system installation projects from start to finish while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Support property maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the overall functionality of building systems.

Experience

Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or mechanic with a strong background in HVAC/R systems repair and maintenance.
Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding complex building systems integration.
Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, welding, and equipment troubleshooting.
Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems related to HVAC is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools effectively.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or special certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling are advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills in field service environments.

Pay: $25.22 - $30.38 per hour
