Maintenance / Make Ready Technician

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance / Make Ready Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to complete a variety of maintenance tasks independently.

This role is responsible for maintaining our properties, preparing units for new residents, and ensuring buildings and common areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The right candidate will take pride in their work, provide excellent customer service, and follow all health and safety guidelines.

On-call participation is required.

Responsibilities:

Complete apartment/unit make-readies, including painting, repairs, touch-ups, and preparation for new occupancy
Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and grounds upkeep
Maintain electrical systems by replacing light fixtures, bulbs, outlets, and performing basic troubleshooting
Maintain heating, plumbing, and other building systems to ensure proper operation
Perform repairs such as fixing locks, replacing windows, and completing general property repairs
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
Assist with landscaping and overall property appearance
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Participate in the on-call rotation schedule
Provide outstanding customer service to residents and team members

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
Minimum 3 years of property maintenance experience required
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
Familiarity with common tools, appliances, and maintenance equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards
Must be physically able to lift 40+ lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, twisting, and standing for extended periods
High school diploma or equivalent required
HVAC, building maintenance, or related certifications are a plus
Must provide your own basic set of tools
Valid driver’s license required
