Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is a dependable self-starter with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service calls.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Inspect equipment, identify deficiencies, and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service during every interaction.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA standards.
Participate in the company's on-call rotation schedule.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of residential and/or commercial HVAC service experience (commercial experience preferred).
EPA Universal Certification (required).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and workload.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift equipment, work in varying weather conditions, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
Low-temperature refrigeration experience.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Knowledge of HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
NATE Certification (preferred but not required).
