Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems, refrigeration components, and building automation systems to identify issues accurately.
Read schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure proper system setup and modifications aligned with safety standards and client specifications.
Conduct equipment troubleshooting using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to resolve complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently.
Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for quality assurance and future reference.
Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards during system servicing or installation.
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions to homeowners.

Skills

Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system repair and installation.
Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and building automation controls.
Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
Skilled in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair.
Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
Familiarity with HVAC system maintenance practices to ensure optimal operation over time.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for safe transportation between job sites.
Knowledge of EPA regulations related to refrigerant recovery and handling procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
Experience working with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems within HVAC units, and appliance repair is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.93 per hour
