Electrical Estimator

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for residential and commercial electrical projects. Most of our work consists of service work, tenant improvements, panel upgrades, EV chargers, lighting upgrades, small remodels, and commercial projects ranging from a few thousand dollars up to several hundred thousand dollars.

There could be some Project Management, but your primary focus is Electrical Estimates and winning us jobs.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping win profitable work—not someone focused on large, multi-million-dollar bid packages. Our jobs range from $75k to $5M. But our focus is not LARGE, it is bidding and winning the jobs that best represent our work and skillsets.

Responsibilities

Review plans, specifications, and customer requests.
Perform site visits when needed.
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and proposals-on time.
Complete material and labor takeoffs.
Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, electricians, and management.
Follow up on submitted bids and answer customer questions.
Prepare change orders and revised estimates.
Maintain estimating templates and pricing databases.
Help improve estimating processes and job costing accuracy.

Qualifications

3+ years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
Strong understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical plans.
Experience estimating service work and smaller commercial projects.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience

Experience estimating projects such as:

Large EV charger stations (bus)
Mid-Large PV structures/other PV applications
Lighting retrofits
Tenant improvements
Commercial remodels
New residential construction
Municipal

Pay: $75,000.00 - $103,500.00 per year
