Job Summary

NCGE is seeking an experienced, dependable Concrete Form Setter to join our construction team. This position is based out of El Dorado, California, with work performed at job sites throughout El Dorado County and surrounding areas.

The majority of this position will involve concrete form-setting work. Employees may occasionally be required to assist with other construction, site-preparation, cleanup, material-handling, or general labor duties based on project needs.

Responsibilities

Measure, lay out, build, set, align, brace, and secure concrete forms.
Install forms for foundations, footings, slabs, walls, curbs, sidewalks, and other concrete structures.
Read and follow construction plans, measurements, grade stakes, and job-site instructions.
Check forms for proper line, grade, elevation, dimensions, and structural stability.
Strip, clean, organize, and prepare forms and materials for reuse.
Assist with concrete pours and related construction activities as directed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all NCGE safety policies, job-site requirements, and supervisor instructions.
Perform other construction or general labor duties as reasonably assigned based on project needs.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of two years of verifiable concrete form-setting experience.
Ability to independently build, set, brace, align, and strip concrete forms.
Knowledge of construction measurements, elevations, grades, and basic plan reading.
Reliable transportation to report to the El Dorado shop or assigned job sites on time.
Dependable attendance and the ability to work scheduled shifts consistently.
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work outdoors on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation

$30.00 per hour.
Overtime and all other compensation will be paid in accordance with applicable California law.
Work performed on qualifying public works projects will be compensated in accordance with applicable prevailing-wage requirements.
