Job Overview

I'm seeking a highly motivated Fire Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Designer to join my team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed fire sprinkler, and fire alarm designs that ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency across a variety of construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical drafting and CAD software will be essential in developing accurate schematics, BIM models, and detailed documentation. This is a dual role and will require the canidiate to become proficient in both design

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive fire sprinkler system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SprinkCad. The job may require learning other programs such as Navisworks, Revit, other Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
Create precise schematics, layouts, and detailed drawings for fire sprinkler & fire alarm systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
Prepare accurate CAD documentation, including schematics, mechanical detailing, and engineering drawings for construction purposes
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, architects, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with local codes and regulations
Incorporate construction experience into design processes to facilitate seamless installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
Use CAD detailing skills to produce clear, organized plans that support efficient project execution from start to finish
Ability to travel to sites in and around Tampa/St Peterberburg on a weekly basis
Ability to travel up and down a ladder for up to 8 hours a day

Preferences

0-2 year of experience in Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Alarm design
Knowlege of AutoCAD
Knowledge of NFPA 1, NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 25, and NFPA 72
Knowledge of fire sprinkler schematics, CAD documentation standards, and engineering CAD design principles
Familiarity with construction practices related to fire protection systems and ability to interpret technical drawings
Experience with mechanical design processes and drafting techniques specific to fire suppression systems
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate CAD detailing and schematic diagrams
Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams involved in project planning and execution

Compensation

Salary starts at 52,000 but negotiable based on experience (Fire sprinkler, fire alarm, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing design)
Employee is immedaitely elgible for annual bonus ( bonus based on profitabilty of company as a whole and employee contribution
