Low Voltage Technician – Structured Cabling / Fiber / Conduit

CableMasters is growing, and we're looking for experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our team. We have a steady pipeline of work with major clients.

We're looking for technicians who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and can work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Must be able to pass a background desk to obtain access to sensitive locations.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, label, test, and certify copper network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A)
Install and terminate fiber optic cabling
Perform fiber splicing
Pull cable through existing pathways, conduit, and cable tray
Rack and stack network equipment
Install patch panels, faceplates, and network hardware
Dress and manage cabling to professional standards
Complete documentation, labeling, and testing reports
Read and follow project drawings and scopes of work
Install EMT conduit and support hardware

Qualifications

We're looking for technicians with experience in several of the following:

Structured cabling installation
Copper terminations
Fiber optic terminations
Fiber splicing
Cable testing and certification
Rack & stack
Cable management and dressing
Documentation and labeling
EMT conduit installation and bending
Lift operation and commercial construction environments

Conduit Experience is a Major Plus

Many of our projects require EMT conduit installation. If you have strong conduit skills and demonstrate proficiency in the field, we offer additional pay for hours spent performing conduit work.

Schedule

Most projects begin around 5:00 AM, although some projects require:

Earlier mornings
Nights
Weekends
Overtime

We're looking for technicians who are flexible and willing to work when our customers need us.

Work Locations

Most work is located in:

Hawthorne
Gardena
Greater Los Angeles area

Some travel throughout Southern California may be required.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Additional compensation available for qualified conduit work
Overtime opportunities
Prevailing Wage (PW) projects available throughout the year with significantly higher earnings
Opportunities for advancement into Lead Technician positions, to Project Management, to Sales
