Welder- Level 1-3 Positions available

Reports to the Plant Manager

Employee will use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

(Rate depends on experience includes base pay and profit sharing)

Job Requirements :

MIG Welding

- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

· Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

· Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

· Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

· Weld low carbon, stainless steel, and other alloys.

· Grind parts to obtain required configurations.

· Select and install welding tips, diffusers, nozzles, & filler rods, according to welding.

· Strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded.

· Ability to set your welder and regulator valve to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that the desired heat is obtained.

Other duties as assigned.

· The ability to Fit stock and knowledge of the tables.

· Attaching pieces such as angles, plates, anchors, etc.

· The ability to read blueprints for minor additions of grating.

· Changing consumables such as welding gun and liner.

· Welding certification.

· Becoming a successful mentor.

· Becoming a quality inspector.

· Exceptional safety, quality and production.

· The ability to Fit custom fabrication work to specifications.

· The ability to perform custom fabrication work by the use of blueprints and cutting torches.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $29.50 per hour
