Job Summary

ATA Residential Solutions is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Carpenter to join our residential remodeling team. We specialize in finished basements, kitchen and bathroom renovations, home additions, and other complete home transformations.

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Carpenter skilled with 5+ years of residential carpentry experience who is confident leading a crew and taking ownership of the day to day execution of a remodeling project.

The right candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, understands how to keep a job moving efficiently, communicates professionally with clients and management, and can confidently direct Carpenter laborers and Carpenters in the field.

This is a full-time employee position. We are NOT seeking subcontractors or independent contractors. Please do not apply if you are looking for subcontract work or to operate as a subcontractor.

Primary focus:

Lead field execution, maintain quality, direct workflow, and protect production.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the daily execution of residential remodeling projects from demolition through completion
Review plans, layouts, measurements, and project requirements before and during construction
Establish the daily plan and clearly communicate priorities to the crew
Lead and direct Carpenter Laborers and Carpenters while maintaining a productive and respectful jobsite
Coordinate crew tasks, materials, tools, and workflow to keep projects moving on schedule
Perform hands-on carpentry and remodeling work as needed
Understand proper construction sequencing and production flow
Monitor workmanship, safety, jobsite organization, and overall efficiency
Identify potential issues or errors early to prevent rework, material waste, delays, and customer callbacks
Maintain high standards for finish quality and attention to detail
Communicate daily progress, project needs, material requirements, and jobsite issues to management
Communicate professionally with homeowners and customers when needed
Train, mentor, and develop Carpenter Laborers and Carpenters
Help ensure the jobsite is clean, organized, and safe throughout the project
Take ownership of the quality and progress of the work being performed by the crew

Qualifications

5+ years of professional residential carpentry experience required
Previous experience leading or supervising a residential construction crew
Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and construction practices
Ability to read and understand construction plans, layouts, and measurements
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and jobsite workflow
Ability to perform high-quality finish and rough carpentry
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to identify potential construction issues before they become costly problems
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities on a jobsite
Professional and respectful when working with customers, coworkers, and management
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work full-time and remain actively involved in hands-on construction work

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can lead by example. This is not a position for someone who only wants to supervise from the sidelines. Our Lead Carpenter should be comfortable picking up the tools, solving problems in the field, directing the crew, and taking responsibility for the quality and progress of the project.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
