Electric Connection is seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team. Wage DOE. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians.

The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Valid driver's license, State of South Dakota and City of Sioux Falls apprentice licenses are required.

Duties

Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems as directed.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or areas needing attention.
Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all work processes.
Participate in construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Learn to use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical problems.
Collaborate with team members on various projects while developing skills in frame carpentry as needed.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a residential or commercial electrician is preferred and highly desirable.
State of South Dakota and City of Sioux Falls apprentice license required.
Valid drivers license required
Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems gained through coursework or previous experience is recommended.
Familiarity with electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading
Experience using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, conduit benders, and other electrical testing devices
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC codes, and low/high voltage systems

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
