Job Overview

An entry-level CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinist operates computer-controlled machine tools under supervision to produce precision parts and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Load raw materials or blanks into CNC machines, press start buttons, run production cycles, and safely unload finished parts.
Quality Inspection: Check finished components against blueprints or specification sheets using standard measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
Basic Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, clear metal chips, add coolant, and perform routine daily checks on equipment.
Documentation: Fill out work orders, production tracking logs, and inspection sheets.
Safety Adherence: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toe boots while following shop safety rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

· Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude, fundamental math skills, and a strong attention to detail.

· Training: Vocational training, technical school certificates, or prior shop

· Experience is a plus, though many employers offer on-the-job training.

· Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds when handling raw materials.

· Should be able to read and understand English

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
