Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder with experience working with a variety of alloys including steel, austenitic and martensitic stainless steels, Monel, Copper Nickel, and Ni-Al-Bronze. This role focuses on welding and inspecting castings to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate is proficient in SMAW and Lift-Arc TIG (GTAW) welding techniques and has a strong eye for detail.

The right candidate enjoys working on diverse projects involving both common and specialty alloys, maintains a strong work ethic, and is motivated by producing high-quality, efficient work. The ability to pass weld test qualifications is required.

D.W. Clark utilizes multiple casting processes, 3D printing, and machining. As part of our production and company growth efforts, this position will perform casting upgrade welds for commercial, aerospace, and defense applications.

Responsibilities

Execute welding tasks using SMAW and Lift-Arc TIG (GTAW) on diverse metal components.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections to identify any areas for repair or inconsistencies in welds or castings.
Conduct excavations and finishing using abrasive tools
Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, welding procedures, and fabrication records following codes & standards.
Support additional production activities as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven capability in SMAW and/or GTAW welding
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience
Ability to set up welding equipment and adjust controls
Ability to maintain traceability and proper part/consumable identification
Ability to manage consumables in accordance with procedures
Experience welding alloys with controlled reheat, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment
Ability to grind for weld prep and finishing
Ability to check hardness of welds and Heat Affected Zone (HAZ)
Ability to produce weld maps
Capable of using carbon-arc cutting equipment
Metal casting or foundry experience (preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new skills
Knowledge of basic welding codes and practices
Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment
Ability to lift, climb, stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, and kneel
Ability to meet quality and productivity requirements
Strong organizational skills
Ability to perform additional tasks as assigned
Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety, quality, and attendance

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
