We are partnering with an established commercial contractor to identify an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through completion.

This role is ideal for a strong construction professional who takes ownership of the entire project—not only the schedule and financial performance, but also the client experience, subcontractor relationships, risk management, and successful delivery of the work.

They have strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

What You'll Do

Lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, with ownership of overall project performance (typically, 30% on project site, 70% in the office).
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and owners, building strong relationships, and providing responsive, exceptional service.
Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, overall profitability, and quality control.
Participate in preconstruction activities, including scope development, bid review, and subcontractor selection.
Develop and manage subcontractor scopes and agreements and coordinate changes throughout the project.
Identify project risks early and work collaboratively with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop practical solutions.
Lead owner, architect, and contractor meetings and clearly communicate project status, decisions, risks, and next steps.
Review subcontractor payment requests and manage owner billing and project financial reporting.
Prepare reports, documentation, and communications related to project progress and performance.
Provide leadership and direction to project team members while maintaining accountability for quality, schedule, financial results, and client satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrated experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish, with full project ownership.
A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field with 10 or more years of experience in commercial construction preferably leading commercial healthcare construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, project financials, scheduling, contracts, and subcontractor management.
A client-focused leader who communicates well, follows through, builds trust, and exhibits a high level of integrity.
A self-driven professional with a strong work ethic who takes ownership and follows things through to completion.
Someone who operates with a sense of urgency, stays engaged, and is willing to step in wherever needed to keep a project moving.
Strong financial and business judgment, including the ability to forecast project performance and proactively manage and assess risk.
Confident communicating with a variety of stakeholders including owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
A collaborative problem solver who looks for solutions that support successful outcomes for all project stakeholders.
Naturally curious and committed to continually expanding their construction knowledge.
An adaptable learner who recognizes that construction is constantly evolving and wants to evolve with it.

Compensation, Benefits & Culture

Salary Range: $125,000 – 185,000 based on experience and qualifications. The upper end of the range is intended for candidates with demonstrated Senior Project Manager experience and the ability to step into the full scope of the role.

Location: Coastal South Carolina / Lowcountry Region

This position will initially support a project in South Carolina’s Lowcountry region. Candidates should be in or open to relocating to the general coastal South Carolina area, with specific project locations and future assignments discussed during the interview process.
