Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pipe Welder - Combo to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly welding and fabricating pipe systems using a variety of techniques, including TIG and Stick welding. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints will ensure precise assembly of piping components in accordance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects on construction sites and in fabrication shops, contributing to high-quality infrastructure development. Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, isometric pipe drawings, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate pipe assembly and welding.
Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) techniques on various metal materials, including structural steel and pipe components both carbon and stainless material composition.
Measure and mark materials with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and hand tools to ensure precise cuts and fittings.
Use plasma cutters, power tools, and gas metal arc welding equipment for cutting, fitting, and welding metal parts according to specifications.
Assemble piping systems by, fitting components accurately, and ensuring proper alignment using shop math and fabrication techniques.
Follow safety protocols rigorously while operating cranes, power tools, welding equipment, and handling metal materials on construction sites or in fabrication shops.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, weld maps, and quality control documentation in compliance with AWS standards.

Requirements

Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
Proficiency in interpreting mechanical and iso blueprints and technical drawings related to pipe fabrication.
Hands-on experience with various welding techniques: TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, hand tools, plasma cutters, and power tools effectively.
Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly processes, sheet metal fabrication, and metal materials handling.
Familiarity with blueprint reading standards established by the American Welding Society (AWS).
Shop math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Strong mechanical fabrication skills with experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly work.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
